Cassimatis House
1997
(in assoc. with Barrett Architects)
A Castilian-like residence coiled onto the cliffs of Castle Hill in Townsville.
The building plan generates a protected private courtyard, a “private realm” to balance the “public persona” presented to the city.
The house is conceived as a staircase climbing through five levels, culminating in the master bedroom suite overlooking Cleveland Bay and Magnetic Island.
